Mishewah Jubilee Weekend (June 30-July 3)

We are so excited to be celebrating 50 years of Camp Mishewah in 2022! We are looking forward to a summer of celebration, beginning with our Jubilee Weekend from June 30-July 3.

The weekend will be an opportunity to reconnect with friends, remember and celebrate the last 50 years, and look ahead and dream of the future. The weekend begins with unstructured connection time on Thursday, and the program will run from Friday to Sunday. Guests are also welcome to stay on for the first week of Family Camp starting on July 3.

We are thrilled to welcome Randy Stonehill as our special guest artist for the weekend, and to have EMCC president John Cressman joining us to speak in our Sunday morning celebration service.

Details on other special events will be coming soon, but you can be assured that your favourite camp activities including games, ice cream, campfires, and time on the lake will be a huge part of our weekend. Lots of opportunity to connect and reconnect with camp friends and make new ones will be central to the schedule. We are planning to have an area set aside as a museum, with a timeline of the camp’s history where you can come and learn our story, and add your own memories.

Keep checking back here on our website, and on our social media pages for updates as they come. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

John Cressman

John serves as the President of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada. He ministers with a shepherd's heart, with the call of a spiritual father/mentor. It was in the tabernacle at Stayner Camp that John gave his heart to Christ as a nine-year-old boy and he has had many other disciple-making experiences at both Stayner and Mishewah. He has pastored and planted churches as well as coached pastors in Canada and the USA for over thirty years. John and his wife Melanie live in Kitchener, Ontario. They experience joy from grandparenting, supporting the local Junior-level hockey team, and walking together. John's life mission is captured in the phrase, "Here to serve".
