The staff member promises to serve faithfully as a Seasonal Team Member, fulfilling the requirements specified in the job description to the best of his/her ability. The staff member agrees to follow the Camp Code of Conduct, which the staff member has been made aware of, as well as meeting and responding to the following requirements:

By accepting this position, I agree to the following conditions of employment:
• To provide the camp with proof of a 2026 Criminal Record Reference Check if I am 18 years of age or older at the time of camp. (Unless you have already provided us with one during the last three years.)
• To submit all necessary documentation required to volunteer at ECM Camps. All documentation must be submitted to the office before arrival at camp.
• That visitors may only visit camp on the approval of the Directors and must sign in and out.
• To perform my job as detailed in the job description and as further outlined in staff training.
• To recognize the flexible nature of a camp staff position and be prepared to do other duties as assigned.
• To work cooperatively with all staff to maintain program areas, equipment and to keep general camp surroundings in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This includes keeping personal camp quarters tidy.
• That staff members are responsible for the replacement or repair of camp equipment which is lost or damaged due to negligence of the staff member.
• Attend staff meetings.
• To attend pre-camp training sessions and complete any other training deemed necessary to qualify me for performance in my position.
• That Camp or the ECM is not responsible for the loss or damage to staff members’ personal goods.
• That each staff member will conform to the current dress code.
• For those living on the grounds, to receive permission from my immediate supervisor any time that I would like to leave the campgrounds and promise to be back on the grounds at agreed-upon time.
• We would encourage all staff to try to maintain a consistent time of personal devotions.
The staff members will serve all weeks required and promise to be a responsible representative of the camp in all activities, both on and off the campsite. The staff member promises to follow Jesus Christ and be obedient to His ways in his/her conduct, attitude, and lifestyle.
The ECM Camp Board promises to uphold and support all staff in their support ministry of the camp. We will provide training to familiarize you with Camp, its routines, and what is expected of you in your position as a staff member. We will provide adequate room and board, and see to it that you get medical care, if needed.
We will provide adequate supervision and leadership in the persons of Steve and Jeanette Balzer who are the Camp Managing Directors in 2026.
This agreement is binding and can only be terminated by the steps laid out in the Camp Code of Conduct.
Your remuneration will include Vacation Pay, plus Room & Board, paid by direct deposit to your bank account every two weeks for the term of your employment with Camp Mishewah. You will need to submit your banking information in a timely manner, before you begin your employment. You are also required to submit TD1 Ontario and TD1 Federal tax forms before your arrival at camp.
