Volunteer
“Camp Mishewah holds some of my favourite memories. I made lifelong friendships, and always went home feeling closer to The Lord. We were often commended for giving of our time as counsellors, but I always came away with more than I’d given! I love Mishewah!”
~ Bobbie-Jo F., Counsellor & Lifeguard

As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our supporters.  We are so thankful for our many volunteers who help us to keep camp running.  Some volunteers come as a group, others come as individuals willing to help for a couple of hours or the whole day.  Camp Counsellors are an essential volunteer role during our summer youth camps, providing direct support to campers.

Camp Counsellors

This volunteer position is one of the most important roles at camp. It is a highly rewarding job and will keep you coming back year after year!  We are looking for counsellors who are 15 years of age or older for Scamps & Champs and Jr. Teen, and 21 years of age (or turning 21 by the end of the year) or older for Sr. Teen.  We look for people who follow and serve Jesus wholeheartedly and love working with kids and teens.  Counselling is not limited to teens and young adults either, we welcome counsellors of all ages!  It can be a challenging job, but the leadership experience you gain is like none other.  Camp days are fast paced and full of fun activities and you will have the opportunity to build lifelong friendships, and have a lasting impact in the lives of children and youth.

Work Projects

There are various opportunities throughout the year for volunteers to come help us keep our camp up and running.  Some projects require skilled labour, while others simply require willing hands. Keep checking back here for upcoming opportunities, and contact us if you or your group are interested in coming to volunteer.
