For detailed info about what you need to know for camping at Mishewah, see our 2024 Guest Information Document

Camper Guidelines and Code of Conduct

We appreciate having campers on the grounds at Mishewah. Our desire is to see community and relationships built. We have created some Guidelines and a Code of Conduct for all guests to follow so the “Face of Mishewah” is consistent, honouring to Jesus, and welcoming to everyone. By reading this we trust that you agree to following these guidelines and code of conduct.

Protection Policy

Keeping our campers and staff safe is something that we take very seriously.  Camp Mishewah is a member of Plan To Protect.  Our Protection Plan includes anti-harassment and discrimination, anti-bullying, recruitment and hiring policies.  All of our staff receive training and we are committed to protecting children, youth and vulnerable adults.

Pet Policy

Some Pets are allowed at camp, but must be registered at the office.  See our complete Pet Policy for complete details

Internet & WiFi Policy

Mishewah provides Wifi for guests at a nominal fee per day or per week.  Because of our location, we cannot provide high speed services and ask that guests use it only for basic needs. Downloading, uploading, streaming, Youtube, videos, online gaming, etc. are not allowed.  Guests should also be aware all of our networks are monitored.  Please see the linked letter from our IT Committee for more information.

Boating Policy

For those bringing and using motorboats on Round Lake, there are important guidelines for you to be aware of.

Dietary Needs and Allergies

We cannot provide alternative food items for special diets (e.g. dairy or gluten free) but we will do our best to accommodate guests who bring their own food substitutes.  Camp Mishewah does not claim to be a nut/peanut free environment as we do not monitor private campsites and guests that camp there.  Additionally, some of our ice cream flavours in the café contain nuts.  We do, however, keep nuts and peanuts out of the kitchen

Noise Policy

Our noise policy requires all guests to be quiet between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am

Campfires

Fires should only be lit in designated campfire areas.  Please obey all posted signs regarding current fire bans before lighting any campfires

Fireworks

Fireworks at camp are not permitted unless scheduled, organized, and run by camp staff.
