We have a beautiful waterfront property, which gets extensive use through the summer. The beach area is open for use each day during family camp, 1–5 pm, weather permitting. During this time lifeguards will be on duty and all campers must obey their rules and instructions. There is no swimming permitted within the buoy lines when the lifeguards are not on duty. The family camp swimming area is unsupervised and is open for your use, but is “use at your own risk” and parent supervision is required.
Canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available to rent. A liability waiver must be signed. All campers must wear a PFD (Personal Flotation Device) when boating. Please bring your own PFDs if possible. Please be sure to find the correct size and wear it properly. We ask that when you return the camp’s PFDs, you hang them neatly and help up to keep the area tidy. Please use all PFDs only for their intended purpose.
There is great fishing at Camp Mishewah, both in Round Lake itself and the nearby creek. You may find Lake Trout, Yellow Perch, Lake Whitefish, Burbot, Northern Pike, Longfin Smelt, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, and Walleye in the lake. We often hold kids fishing contests during family camp. Steve Balzer is always glad to chat with any campers about fishing at Mishewah.
