Yesterday was the first day of summer, which means Family Camp is just around the corner (THIS WEEKEND)!
As we head into the summer season, we want to take a moment to thank some of the amazing volunteers who helped get Camp Mishewah ready this spring.
A team from Café Church in Kingston joined us May 22-24, and a team from Teen Challenge Eastern Ontario Men’s Centre served with us on May 26.
The Café Church team painted the floors in Cabins 17 and 18, helped clean cabins, and got started on renovations to the Family Camp washroom. The Teen Challenge team tackled the big job of moving picnic tables, boats, docks, and other stored equipment from the chapel back to their places around camp.
From freshly painted floors and refreshed washrooms to ensuring everything is where it belongs, these improvements help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our campers.
To the Café Church and Teen Challenge crews: thank you for your hard work, generosity, and willingness to serve. You’ve played an important role in preparing camp for a busy summer season, and we are so grateful for your support!
We can’t wait to welcome campers, families, and volunteers back to Camp Mishewah this summer!
